TuffNek and RuffGuard brands are adding to their line of integrated nail protection product with a new rated firestopping model. TuffNek FS and RuffGuard FS are patent pending on updated designs that stop fire spread across stud bays where firestopping or fireblocking are required.
"We continue to see code grow more stringent on fire spread in the wall and ceiling cavities and our customers were asking for an integrated solution." said Shannon Loew, TuffNek CEO.
Both brands combine nail protection with stud isolation, each with an acoustic dampening model. Now TuffNek and RuffGuard are adding a fourth integrated benefit with firestopping. The products use an intumescent coating to achieve a 2-hour or 1-hour rating.
"The entire value proposition for TuffNek and RuffGuard is to make plumbers more efficient. By integrating firestopping, we're creating yet another way we're saving them time and energy. Installing one products gets you two, three, and four benefits depending on th emodel you choose." Loew added.
The brands will be availabe in retail and wholesale later this year throughout the US and launching soon after in Australia and Canada.
TuffNek and its sibling RuffGuard are each available in standard and acoustic dampening models. Both brands are each separately available for license to manufacture and distribute in the U.S. and internationally within wholesale and retail channels.
